A Gallery of Hope, Healing, and Blooming

    About

At YouBloom Counseling, I believe we all deserve the chance to bloom — even if life sometimes feels like you’ve been planted in the wrong soil, under a flickering lightbulb, and watered with other people’s chaos. YouBloom is about showing up as you — the real, unfiltered, “doing-my-best-even-if-it’s-messy” version. No need to apologize for how you’ve survived or what you had to do to get here. We’re not here to judge the weeds; we’re here to notice how strong they are for growing through the cracks.

As a minority female–owned practice, I know what it’s like to build something beautiful in unpredictable conditions. (Let’s be honest — some of us learned to thrive in emotional droughts and still manage to look good doing it.) Therapy here isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about giving you the sunlight, space, and support to grow into whatever version of yourself feels most authentic — roots, thorns, and all.

At YouBloom, we laugh, we process, we cry (sometimes all in the same session — it’s fine, I have tissues). Growth isn’t linear, and blooming isn’t always graceful. But together, we’ll figure out how to keep growing — even if it’s one stubborn little petal at a time.

So if you’re ready to bloom (or just trying not to wilt), welcome to the garden. You already belong here. 🌸

    About Me

Hello and welcome to YouBloomCounseling! Thanks for stopping by and taking a moment to get to know me and my little corner of the world. My name is Jennifer, but everyone calls me Jenny — and honestly, I prefer it. (If you call me Jennifer, I’ll just assume I’m in trouble.)

I live in Madison, Wisconsin with my husband and our two fur-babies, who basically run the household. Alpha is our Pitbull Terrier — he’s all muscle on the outside, but on the inside he’s just a big, snuggly marshmallow. He has no shame about demanding endless cuddles and attention. Then there’s Sofia, our sleek black cat. She’s mysterious, independent, and possibly plotting world domination — but when she decides to grace us with affection, she melts hearts instantly.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m probably outside soaking up fresh air — biking, hiking, walking, or just wandering. I’m also a major bookworm (seriously, I read every single day). My favorites are dark romance and psychological thrillers… I know, it tracks. Let’s just say I enjoy a little chaos, but only in fictional form. I also love to write and have self-published two books: one sweet, Hallmark-y romance (yes, I contain multitudes) and one psychological thriller full of twists.

Traveling, connecting with people, and finding little adventures bring me joy. But honestly? I’m just another human trying to make sense of this wild, messy, and beautiful world — hopefully with some laughter along the way.
